Auburn is sixteen miles up I-80 from our counter and right at the edge of the 25-mile circle the van drives — most of Auburn is inside it, a few of the furthest-out addresses on the Highway 49 and Foresthill side aren't, and the ZIP checker above will tell you which. We added Auburn to the route because Auburn has been coming down the hill to us for sixty years and it seemed only fair to return the trip.
We're Roseville Meat Company, family-owned on Atlantic Street since 1946. Everything is cut to order from whole primals, weighed, vacuum sealed and sent out the same afternoon on a refrigerated van. You pay for the actual weight.
Delivery across Auburn
We cover 95603 — Old Town, downtown and High Street, Auburn Valley, Christian Valley, the Bell Road side — and 95602 North Auburn out toward Ophir and Lake of the Pines' near edge. Order by 4 PM and it's at your door this evening. Delivery is $9.99, free over $89. Auburn is a later stop on the route, so plan on an evening arrival.
If your address is right at the edge, enter it at checkout: if local delivery is offered, you're in. If it isn't, cold-chain shipping still reaches you in two days, or pickup in Roseville is free.
What Auburn orders
Auburn cooks outdoors and in quantity. Packer brisket for the smoker — Prime and Wagyu, 8 to 14 pounds — short ribs, beef back ribs, pork spareribs, pork shoulder for the pulled pork, and sausages by the pound: our bratwurst, hot links and the smoked wild boar. The Black Label ribeyes and New Yorks cut thick for the grill, and tri-tip for anything with more than six people at it.
Auburn is also the heart of our exotic meat business. Elk and venison chops, tenderloins and stew meat, buffalo ribeye and New York, wild boar — ordered up here by people who hunt and people who wish they did. All of it is cut and frozen at peak and goes up the hill in the same cold bag.
Freezer orders. Auburn households tend to order big and freeze. Everything is vacuum sealed, which keeps a year in a chest freezer without burn. Order the larger weight bands, tell us in the notes how you'd like it portioned ("brisket whole", "ground in one-pound packs"), and we'll pack it that way.
Holidays on the hill
From November the Auburn van carries bone-in prime rib — cradled, tied and cut to the number of ribs you give us — plus whole turkeys and hams, and the holiday reserve holds your roast with a deposit. Order early; the week before Christmas is the busiest the route gets.
